Paper Plate Shoot 2007

Silver Bullet’ Shield

  Long Barrelled RevolverCarbine

The fourth annual ‘Silver Bullet’ paper plate shoot took place on Sunday 23 September 2007. This particular competition is for Under-lever Carbines with each competitor required to shoot three details at 20, 35 & 50 yards. Each detail requires 18 rounds of ammunition with 54 rounds required in total.

Starting with just 6 rounds loaded into the rifle, there were just 120 seconds to take 6 shots kneeling, 6 shots weak shoulder and 6 shots strong shoulder inc. all reloading necessary.

Paper Plate 2007

The club “Silver Bullet” shield was at stake for this event and a good turn-out was made with 11 competitors entering this competition. Steve G. stole first place from Andrew by a single point this year and took the shield home for the third year running! Come on guys, this is getting embarrassing for us all – let’s get practicing in time next year and give him a proper run for his money!

We know there are lots of ORPC members that have Under-lever carbines and hope to see a few more contenders on the firing point in 2008 for this exciting and challenging event!
