Range Information

The club is located in Oundle, a small market town in East Northamptonshire a few miles south west of Peterborough in the UK. It enjoys the use of 5 ranges, located on two separate sites.

The first site is owned by the Club and provides an indoor facility based within the town of Oundle. Here there are two ranges catering for rim-fire (small-bore) shooting, pistol calibre gallery shooting and also air weapon shooting at distances of 10, 20 & 25 yds.

The second site used by ORPC is an outdoor facility located near Barnwell village (about 10 minutes drive from Oundle). Here, members have access to three separate outdoor ranges at distances of:

100 yds

6 x covered full-bore firing points with 4 x bench positions, together with a raised podium available for prone shooting.

Full-bore rifles can be used on this range in accordance with range orders (typically 7.62mm, .303, .223 etc.).

50 yds

4 x covered firing points with bench facilities.

Small-bore and pistol calibres only (.22LR, .38/.357, .44 mag etc) and black powder firearms + 12ga. slug approval.

25 yds

6 x covered firing points with bench facilities.

Small-bore and pistol calibres only (.22LR, .38/.357, .44 mag etc) and black powder firearms.
